Users express their disappointment in Arc Raiders after leakage of gameplay from alpha version

The game Arc Raiders, published by Nexon, was first presented at the 2021 Game Awards ceremony and received a positive assessment as a whole, but after leakage of gameplay with a recent closed alpha test, the general opinion about the game has changed significantly.

Initially, the Arc Raiders was represented as a high-octane explosive cooperative shooter from a third-person, in which the players united for battle with large doctors in scientific and fantastic setting.

However, in May, the developers of the game, Embark Studios, released a press release, in which, among other things, they confirmed that the main emphasis in the game was shifted to the PVPVE-player with prey. And thanks to a recent leak, we got a worthy idea of how the ARC RADERS game process might look like.

Within twenty or so, gameplay, the player mainly walks around, hits a pick in objects and collects resources, with some meager moments of action between them. As many noted, this is a striking difference from the original trailer, which, although he was edited, showed many points of rapid shootings with high -quality explosions and destruction.

The general reaction to the leakage on the network was far from positive. There were many messages from gamers in the network, in which they claim that they were very happy to play after the trailer’s release, but lost interest, learning about the change of direction of the game and/or seeing it in action in a recent leak.

Others are especially unhappy, as they believe that the initial concept of the game had great potential and that it was most likely changed due to the current popularity of some games in the genre "Shooter with prey".

They argue that the concept now seems more template, since it imitates other projects in the industry, and not tries to stand out. One person who claimed that he was a member of the closed alpha test, said that the game really feels as if at the last moment he changed the genre, although he did not go into details, why. They also expressed the opinion that the concept of a shooter with prey does not quite work in the future from a third person, given how easy it is to abuse the nation of the camera.
